Meet the McMurreys!
Abby McMurrey grew up in Blanco, Texas, where she attended school from kindergarten through high school graduation. After graduation Abby went on to study Psychology at Texas State University where she met her now husband, Devin. Abby graduated with her Bachelors in Psychology in May of 2017, and began working as a receptionist at aloe skin + body where she fell in love with the relaxing and healing environment of the spa. When the opportunity to buy Aloe arose, Abby was incredibly excited to be able to apply her degree to doing something she loves. Abby handles day to day operations as well as behind the scene tasks.
Devin McMurrey grew up in College Station, Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree in Archaeology at Texas State University in 2013, and completed his MBA with Texas State University in May of 2022. Devin handles the technological needs of Aloe while he continues to grow his career in software innovation as well as growing his own phone and computer mobile repair shop (Canyon Lake Screen Repair). Devin and Abby met running trails at Purgatory park in San Marcos in 2014. It didn’t take long before they were inseparable and they got married at Middleton Brewery in April 2019.
In November of 2020, Kamaron McMurrey was born. Kamaron is the happiest, easiest little baby and cannot wait to help Mommy and Daddy operate the spa.

Monique Gomez

Monique is a long time student of holistic wellness. Believing the body is the greatest teacher and healer, she was called to attend the Scherer Institute massage program in 2008 after working as a Health Educator. Since massage school, Monique has studied the whole body through nutrition, movement, counseling and meditation. She dives deep into intuitive healing to meet each client with complete presence and listening of the body. Believing in finding balance between the physical body and subtle body system, her studies have included deep tissue, Trigger Point, CranioSacral, Shiatsu, and sports massage. She approaches her clients with an intuitive, nurturing, therapeutic and holistic attitude toward wellness.
She is a certified yoga teacher and functional movement enthusiast. When not doing massage, she is usually teaching barre, painting, or laying in the sun.
Susan Pitney
Licensed Massage Therapist

Susan says life has shown her the importance of healthy touch to our well-being. We soothe our babies, calm our toddlers, reassure our teenagers, and comfort our elderly with well intentioned touch. Massage is a wonderful conduit through which we can address muscular, mental, and emotional tension. Susan feels privileged to work in this field helping people heal. Massage is a field of ongoing education from classes, coworkers, and clients. Growing in the healing arts of massage to better serve her clients gives Susan an amazing feeling. She looks forward to seeing you on her table soon!
Abigail Lake

Abigail Lake graduated from River City Massage in 2021. She has always been interested in the movements of the body and how to improve all of its inner workings.
Stress from every day life can affect the body in a number of ways and she has demonstrated that her touch can help the body heal and relax. Lake is filled with joy that she can help people feel a bit better every day and learning about a specific client over time makes her happy. She will continue to grow her education in massage therapy as much as possible!

Cory Mann

Cory began his journey of studying the human body with martial arts and sports at young age. This led him to become a personal trainer. On his healing journey he found massage to bring together the mind and body through the nervous system. Cory also is a musician and seeks to find the groove and flow in each session. He graduated from Austin Massage Academy and combines Swedish, deep tissue, sports and relaxation massage to address clients individual needs.

Aly is a licensed Esthetician who is passionate about helping people reach their beauty goals. She is upbeat and fun, and loves the outdoors, naps, and cooking. She graduated from Avenue Five Institute, in January of 2021, and has been helping people feel and look beautiful ever since. She is so excited to share her passion and love for skincare with you! Aly is dedicated to making sure your facial experience is relaxing, enjoyable, and refreshing. Let Aly take your skin to the next level and reach its optimum health. She is always willing to learn and grow to provide you with the best skin routine and treatment experience possible.
Mia Aguilar

Mia is a fairly new esthetician that graduated from Aveda Institute in February of 2023. Her favorite thing about being a licensed esthetician is waxing and being able to connect with the guests at Aloe Wimberley. One thing she specializes in is making your wax experience quick and painless. She loves being able to help people feel refreshed and renewed. One thing Mia enjoys doing outside of work is playing video games and chatting with friends online.
